An Abhinav Mukund led India a side will face visitors England in the 1st of 2 warm-up fixtures they are scheduled to play ahead of the ODI series against hosts India. The 50 overs matches will take place at the Palam Cricket Ground, Delhi on January 6th.
Mukund had earlier captain an India A team for their tour of New Zealand. Some notable inclusion in his side area now completely fit S.Sreesanth who returns to national reckoning, Madhya Pradesh pace bowler Ishwar Pandey, who is this domestic season top wicket-taker with 48 wickets in 8 matches, Jammu & Kashmir off-spinner Parvez Rassol and Himachal Pradesh all-rounder Rishi Dhawan.
The 14-member team also includes India discard Tamil nadu player Murali Vijay and Himachal Pradesh batsman Paras Dogra who has scored 786 runs this Ranji season, including 5 centuries. Dogra's team-mate Dhawan has caught the selectors notice with 487 runs in addition to his 36 wickets.
England will play their 2nd warm-up one day game against Delhi, at the Ferozeshah Kotla Ground, Delhi, on January 8th. This will be a day-night encounter, starting at 12:00 pm.
